Maria M. Doucet, M.D.
Dr. Doucet is a board certified Otolaryngologist, Head and Neck Surgeon. She is a member of the Academy of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgeons This surgical specialty certifies her to practice Adult and Pediatric Otolaryngology, Otology, Facial Plastic and Reconstructive surgery, and Head and Neck Surgery.
Training and education began with a B.A. Degree from California State University at Long Beach, California in 1990. Dr. Doucet attended medical school at the University of California, Irvine and graduated in 1994. Her general surgery internship was completed at Orange County Medical Center in Orange, California.
Dr. Doucet moved home to New Orleans to obtain specialization in a Head and Neck Surgery residency program. She graduated from Louisiana State University, Department of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery in 1990. Dr. Doucet opened her office as a solo practitioner in Lafayette, Louisiana in 1999.
Her practice has evolved to include Acadiana Allergy Center and Lafayette Hearing & Balance Center, offering a full spectrum of head and neck services in one location. Dr. Doucet’s cosmetic practice includes facial plastic surgical procedures including Blepharoplasty, Brow Lifts, Rhinoplasty, and Otoplasty to name a few. She also specializes in non surgical facial rejuvenation such as Botox, Sculptra, Juvéderm and Restylane.
Dr. Doucet is a member of the Louisiana State Medical Society, Lafayette Parish Medical Society, Acadiana Pediatrics Society and fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy. Dr. Doucet has written articles and reviews for her Academy for the continuing education of Head and Neck surgeons nationwide and is a Clinical Assistant Professor for LSU Health Science Center. She has also been invited to be a guest lecturer in the community and has published reviews for the American Academy of Otolaryngology. She recently co-authored a book, “Sleep Apnea and Snoring: Surgical and Non-Surgical Therapy”, on Obstructive Sleep Apnea.
Committed to the community involvement, Dr. Doucet actively participates in charity events and sponsorship’s throughout Lafayette. She has served on the Board of Directors for The Natural History and Museum, CME of Acadiana, Physician Advisory Teams, and serves on numerous hospital committees and boards. Dr. Doucet served as secretary of the Lafayette Parish Medical Society in 2012, served as the Vice-President of our Parish medical Society in 2013, and served as the President of the Lafayette Parish Medical Society in 2014. She has been recognized as “Faces to Watch” in 2001 for her leadership efforts in the Lafayette community. She served on the Chamber of Commerce in 2007 as Leadership Lafayette Class 20. Dr. Doucet resides in Lafayette with her husband, Nicholas Doucet and is the mother of 3 children.
Laura K. Woods, RN-BSN, FNP-S
Nurse Practitioner
Laura K. Woods, FNP-S was born and raised in Lafayette. Laura practices along side Dr. Maria Doucet, in the office of Doucet ENT.
Laura received her bachelors degree from UL at Lafayette in 2014, where she became a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honors Society. After completion of her bachelors degree, she decided to pursue her Master in Nursing and completed in 2018.
Committed to the community involvement, Laura actively participates in charity events and sponsorship’s throughout Lafayette. She has served on the Board of Directors for Maddies’s Footprints, a local non-profit that supports families through the loss of a child from miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant death. Along with Board Member, Laura was a member of committee for Maddie’s Footprints Annual Taste of Town gala, Team leader for Maddie’s Footprints Annual 5k, and Founder of monthly mentorship for mothers who have experienced a loss.
Laura joined Doucet ENT in June of 2018.
Calli Dugas, AU.D.
Clinical Audiologist
Calli Dugas, Au.D. was born and raised in Cecilia, LA and is a proud south Louisianan. Dr. Dugas practices audiology at Lafayette Hearing and Balance Center inside the office Dr. Maria Doucet. She provides the following services: diagnostic audiology testing for adults and children, hearing aids and assistive technology for adults, tinnitus assessment, hearing conservation for adults and children, auditory rehabilitation, diagnostic vestibular testing, and treatment of dizzy patients.
Dr. Dugas is licensed by the Louisiana Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders from Louisiana State University in 2012 and her Doctorate in Audiology from the University of Memphis in 2017. Dr. Dugas completed a year-long Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) traineeship at the University of Tennessee Boling Center for Developmental Disorders and was awarded the Marion G. Evans award based on clinical and academic excellence.
Dr. Dugas joined the Lafayette Hearing and Balance Center in 2017.

Dakotah Boudreaux born and raised in Creole, La. She has worked in he medical field for a variety of specialties over the last 16 years. She has experience in medical management and strives to provide be best patient satisfaction. Dakotah joined DoucetENT November 2021.
