Dr. Doucet is a board certified member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery and a fellow in allergy with the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy (AAOA). This certifies her to practice General & Pediatric Otolaryngology, Otology, Facial Plastic Surgery, Head and Neck Surgery, allergy testing and management. She is a member of the Louisiana State Medical Society, and an associate professor at LSU Health  Science Center in Lafayette, LA. Dr. Doucet is also active in continuing education for other otolaryngologists and has written quarterly articles and summaries for Practical Reviews in Otolaryngology. She is also a member of the Lafayette Parish Medical Society and The Acadiana Pediatric Society. She currently serves as an Executive Board Member of the Lafayette Parish Medical Society.

She is co-author of a book on obstructive sleep apnea and has contributed to several research projects and papers. As an active member of the community, Dr. Doucet has been honored with “Faces to Watch” in Lafayette and has 
been a member of the Leadership Lafayette Class. As an invited guest, she has lectured on television about head and neck surgery on “Housecalls,” “Healthbreak,” and “Healthcare Today.” Dr. Doucet also contributes to various 
social and charitable events.
